24th Oct 2008 TIBET FOUNDATION DAY
The day is a major event: many members & supporters meet, and Trustees give a summary annual report.
The programme includes a prayer of blessing by a Tibetan Buddhist monk, music & songs from Mongolia, China, India and Tibet.
There is a 52-min documentary film premiere: "The Blue Scarf", narrated by Michael Wood (popular historian, BBC TV presenter). The film tells the inside story of Mongolian people restoring Buddhist Tradition during an eventful period of political and religious history. Introduced by Prof. Tadeusz Skorupski, director of the Centre of Buddhist Studies (SOAS) and will be concluded with a reception jointly hosted by Tibet Foundation and the Centre of Buddhist Studies.
